Can doctors legally give someone a prescription for proscar when they just need propecia?
Yes, doctors can prescribe whatever is in the best interest of their patients. With regard to Proscar versus Propecia, they are both exactly the same medication, but Proscar is a 5mg dose of finasteride while Propecia is a 1mg dose. The two are exactly equivalent if you can cut the Proscar 5 mg pill into fifths. That is a problem for some patients, because the cutting process is not easy.
Can I use Rogaine and Propecia at the same time? Will that speed up the results? Or will it increase the possibility of side effects?
THE DOCTOR THAT DID MY HAIR TRANSPLANT TOLD ME THAT I “SHOULD NOT” USE PROSCAR BECAUSE WHEN THE DROPLET OF FINISTERIDE DRIPS INTO THE 5MG PROSCAR PILL, ALL THE FINASTERIDE COULD BE ON ONE SIDE . SO WHEN YOU CUT THE PILL INTO 5TH OR 4TH YOU MIGHT NOT GET ANYTHING IN A COUPLE OF 1/4 PILLS.
IS THIS TRUE??
Thanks in advance for providing this opportunity for free consultation; my question, is it normal to take proscar for a 25yr old male to treat male pattern baldness, i have been shedding hair for the last three years, have noticed receding temples and thinning on the top - closer to the forehead. Will proscar help? I have heard that propetia in some cases helps grow some hairs back, will proscar do the same?
