Use Ortho Evra for approximately one year and I am experiencing severe scalp hair loss. Will my hair ever stop falling out? I can barely touch my hair without losing a very large amount. I am very worried.

I am so happy to read the emails about hair loss related to ortho evra. Not because I am happy to join the ranks of those who are suffering from this side effect, but to know the cause of my very significant amount of hair loss. I am very cognizant of my body and what changes I experience. When I began losing my hair, I immediately began to retrace my daily habits to discover what had changed within the last several months. The only significant change was beginning the use of ortho evra. I have stopped using the patch, and will begin a series of treatments to clean my system, naturally, and treat my hair professionally. As women we experience so many things in an attempt to act responsibly. I would like to encourage those of you who are experiencing hair loss to just swallow the “tough pill” of knowledge about about the patch, and begin seeking restoration of your hair, but most importantly of your spirit. Hair loss can be devastating, and I have lost a lot, but there are definitely worse losses.
