Does Propecia help with the Frontal Hair loss. My Hair loss is more in the fronal top part of the forehead. My right and left side has no hair loss.
Propecia slows or stops hair loss throughout the head. In some cases, it will reverse the hair loss. These select cases are often younger men, but on occasion we see return of hair in older men, mostly in the crown.
In answer to your question about frontal hair loss, Propecia slows or stops hair loss everywhere you are impacted by the genetic balding process. The reversal is less frequent in the frontal areas, however. On occasion, I have seen complete reversal of hair loss in the front, top, and crown area in some young men.

In regards to Propecia Re-Growing Hair in the front….Yes, it can happen, depends on the person I guess. I am, and seriously, thank you god, that this was the case for me. As Dr. Rassman said, in some cases he has seen total reversal, I was one of the lucky ones. My hair is thick like it was when I was 18 (31 now). At about 8-12 months into taking propecia, my hairline was 100% restored, and I mean thick restored.
Just a side note, I was sifting through some pictures the other night (7/12/07). A group of photos I found was of me and my girl friend in Loretto Mexico on Vacation, hair looked… ok..I was 22 at the time, still a full head of hair, but…what ever.. it was at 90% of what it was when I was 18 lets say.
Then, the second batch of photos I found was of my Wedding Day,I was 27 (31 now), my hair looked like it did when I was 18, and there was some close up face shots, and with the flash, you know guys, what that can expose, it was like the flash hit a brick wall, it seriously shocked me. Hair still fine, all I use is propecia, maybe the huge factor is I started taking propecia the second I noticed that I was thinning, like when I lost more than 10 hairs and cause there is history in my family, I jumped all over Propecia.
So, in certain circumstances, I dont care what the studies say, it is possible to regrow your frontal hair line back… in certain people or if you catch it early, stay positive and stick with it.
