I am 34 year old African American female. The top of my scalp is sore, thinning and I can not get rid of the dandruff. Is this part of Alopecia? Also, Why do I have soreness at the the top of my scalp and I believe thinning? What can I do for the soreness and thinning? I relax my hair approx every 4 Months. Please help. Thanks.
Chemicals that relax your hair for a long period of time, may cause skin irritation and/or hair loss. Drandruff treatment are found in every pharmacy and you need to experiment with each until you find one that works well for you.

Hi,
I am a 40 year old African American female who had the same exact experience except for the dandruff. My scalp was sore, itchy and hot. If that one lady would like to contact me I can tell her the home remedy I found and used. It was not pretty but it worked.
People, people, people ….open your eyes and see the Truth. I’ve been keeping my eyes open and I’ve observed that all over North America old people as well as young people including children are having noticeable thinning of the hair. My scalp burns all the time and it is very sore and I’ve noticed quite a bit of thinning in front and my hair looks stressed like it’s sticking in odd directions. I don’t dye my hair so it can’t be that. I believe that it is quite a possibilty that it may be diet related, because a lot of our diets are nutritionally not up to par. That’s one of my observations. It may also be the steroids or antibiotics fed thru the animals system or the genetically modified vegetables we eat. It may be a combination of Global Warming causing the Sun’s rays to be more harmful. Whatever it is, it is affecting even the youngest of children. People let’s keep our eyes peeled and observe, notice the people around you, we are going Bald! Soon we’ll look like the Aliens that they depict in movies who fly UFO’s and come from other planets. Anyhow I have tried putting tinted face powder on my scalp and for some reason it seems to help with the soreness for now. Hopefully you guys out there are just as observant and might come up with even more solutions…43 year old white Canadian born Female
