I am from Sweden. I had severe hair loss few months back.I bought one hair tonic called Trichup from London 3 months back. I used the same for atleast 20 days. And I found surprising results. Trichup oil is easily found in almost any pharmacy in India. It does not cost much (in May 2008, in Mumbai it costed 137 rupees, that is less than 3 euros for a 200 ml bottle. The capsules costed about 210 rupees for 100 capsules, that is less than 4 euros). The only problem is availability in Europe. Here in Scandinavia the product is unknown, so I need to purchase it on my travels to India.
The product has a distinctive smell, which is not bad, just more like a herbal oil smell.
I don´t know yet the effects of this product, but I hope it will help against the hair loss that has been experienced for already more than a year. An Indian ayurvedic doctor recommended this product for me after taking pulse diagnostics and looking at the hair condition. Due to the doctor there was a fungal infection present also at the moment. According to the doctor´s information the oil should be used together with eating two Trichup-capsules daily. (On the box of capsules there is written to eat three capsules daily, but we take two).
One doctor told this product should be used daily, by applying about one teaspoon of oil on head and leaving it over night. Then washing it away with the Trichup herbal shampoo (an Aloe vera herbal shampoo, also very cheap, 84 rupees a bottle of 200 ml) next morning. The doctor also said that every weekend you should put a bit more oil on the head and leave it for a bit longer, and then wash it. The doctor also warned us to not change shampoos often, because all shampoos contain different chemicals and the chemical stress on our scalp would be too much if we change the shampoo often. The use of one single shampoo continuously makes it easier for the skin to adapt to the chemical stress of only one kind. So as result I took to the Trichup shampoo to keep on with the one and same product on all of the stages of hair care.
It was said in India that oils are nourishment for hair, that we need oil to nourish our hair, and this is too often totally abandoned in the western cultures, where more or less a dry hair is kind of “cool” and greasy hair is considered as “dirty”. Indians told that some of the more commonly used oils is Amla oil, but in cases of hair loss Trichup oil should be very good.

How is it with oils in general? Should we use them daily or not? Is it a big difference which hair oil to use? How is Trichup better than the others? Is not it possible that greasy hair is more vulnerable against the couch than dry hair?
I live in USA. I bought Trichup Oil from one of the Indian Grocery store near my home in CA. My hair was falling because of chemotherapy. Then I started using this product and it has created wonder. After using this product for about 1 month I found that my Hair fall stopped. Now I am using Trichup once a week. The availability is some time big problem in USA. My question is to those who already use Trichup oil: how ofter do you apply it? I have long hair and definitely need more than one spoon to cover all of it. So far I applied it two times like this: on a clean and dry hair I apply the oil until all my hair gets oilish, more on the roots than on the ends, and I put a cap and sleep like this overnight. The next day or two I add more oil when I see that it gets drier. How do you use this oil?
And for those who are sceptic: do not expect everything to work on everyone. Some people said previously that it is very important to take generally good care of yourself. If you have baldness in your genes, it will develop soon or later, but how much later depends on your own care of yourself. Or even if you don’t have bald people in the family, you should consider which are the stress, environmental, eating or other factors that make your body react in such a way.

Hi Angie. I use Trichup Oil since my school days (about 10 years). I use Trichup Oil 2 times a week. Mostly on weekends. The main purpose of using this is to keep my hair healthy. I don’t have baldness or don’t suffer from hair loss problem (Might be because of Trichup). Well I use this oil as following. I take 1/2 to 1 teaspoonful oil in my palm, apply gently on my scalp and keep it overnight. I give maximum time to keep on the scalp. If I don’t go to job next day then I keep oil and don’t wash. But if I have job then I wash my hair using shampoo. I read your method of use. I think that is also okay.
I have been told Trichup is made using several herbs useful in hair fall and is made in India on the basis of traditional medical science Ayurveda. It seems to be promissing product for people suffering from hair loss.
