Is there any evidence that avodart is more effective than propecia?
During the 2005 International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) conference in Australia, there were some suggestions that Avodart may be more effective than Propecia. However, the FDA has not approved Avodart for treating male pattern baldness, most likely because the drug company has no interest in this particular market. FDA studies are driven by the profit motive of the company, and the company (which I believe started and then stopped the appropriate studies) indicated no intent to pursue this market. Nobody can not make any proofs on the effectiveness of Avodart, and therein lay the crux of the problem. Some doctors seem willing to write prescriptions for this ‘off label’ use of the drug depending upon the safety issues defined by the drug company for Prostate use.

Me recomendaron Abodart para disminuir el crecimiento benigno de mi prostata.
Antes me habia recetado mi medico PROSCAR y note, independientemente de lograr reducir el tamaño de mi Prostate que me empezo a crecer el cabello en una pequeña zona frontal de mi area capilar.
El Doctor me cambio la medicacion a Avodart y prosiguió el crecimiento al punto que ya se emparejo mi cabello en un area aproximada de 1 pulgada cuadrada.
Tengo como 6 meses de estar tomando una pastilla diaria y me sin buscarlo, ya que lo que me interesaba era mi prostata, vi resultados colaterales que favorecieron el crecimiento de esa zona de mi cabello.
No he sentido ningun efecto colateral y si una mayor autoestima.
Aclaro que no padezco de calvicie pero si notaba que se me caia el cabello mas de lo normal ademas de la zona que mencione que si se notaba. Esta zona es en donde termina el apartado de mi cabello que normalmente todo hombre se lo hace para peinarse.
Espero que mi comentario sirva para alentar a otros de que este medicamente tuvo en mi dos funciones.A ud no lo se, pero puede consultarlo con su medico.
