Have you heard anything about whether topical application of caffeine can slow/stop hairloss and if so, what is your opinion on this?
No, I have not heard of this.
My opinion is that there are many products, methods, and systems sold claiming to slow/stop hairloss and that it is a very lucritive market for business people since roughly 50% of men are bald. My motto on BaldingBlog has always been “buyer beware”. We know that smoking can reduce blood flow to the scalp and if there is any relationship between blood flow and hair loss, there would be basis to say that topical caffeine could have the same effect as smoking.
By the way, I have heard of monkey semen shampoo a while back that was to slow/stop hair loss. I haven’t heard much about it lately. Either it didn’t work or monkeys didn’t want to cooperate.

Just try with the opinion of your doctor, minoxidil or also called rogaine 2 per cent concentration twice a day, be patient, first results at least 4 months, complete results 1 year or more, then you could try stronger 5% rogaine, and always two doses just 1 ml each one, twice a day,one in the morning and one in the afternon or night, never more than one ml. of 2 o 5% concentrations, side effects could be dangerous, otherwise that will drive you to abandon the medication, good luck.
I was the one who thought and basically prophesied that caffine cures hair loss, I predict things all the time and at the time when I made it no ones was doing it and I told the government I think it can work and I prophesied it will cure hair loss then month and months and months later I herd on the news that it works to cure hair loss. I am not kidding and everyone your welcome and I could care less if anyone belives me be cause i and they know it was me who thaut and prophesied this all up. Your welcome. their are many other things I prophesied in my life that came true. mix powder caffine with water in a heathy solution that doctors should figure out so u dont over dose and sprey it on. We could buy a pound of caffine powder when this is perfected and that would last forever for us and not cost near as much as those rip off products also I use collodial silver and sprey that on my head and it helps too, I bought a generator and I can make as much as I want to for pennies a day, I have experimented with this and it works good with other products. Spray powered caffeine on your scalp? Do you mean grind coffee beans into a fine powder that you can then spray on your hair and walk around with it on your head?
I’ve never heard this at all.
The studies done on caffeine showed it to be an effective hair growth stimulator in vitro…i.e. in a lab setting, not on someone’s head. It also decreased the amount of observed testosterone-induced growth suppression, again in a laboratory setting. Not saying it doesn’t work — just that it wasn’t done in a random trial on actual people. It ‘hypothetically’ works.
