I have a question about facial hairloss. I am 34 years old male and have never had a problem with hair loss untill about 5 months ago. Thats when I noticed a diamond shaped bald spot on the side of my chin it was at the time smaller than a dime. It has since grown to be over two inches. About a month ago I saw two more small bald spots on the other side of my chin. They have since grown together and are now about the size of a nickel.

Can you tell me what might cause this and do you think I need to see a doctor?

Balding spots that are not symmetrical may represent infections like ringworm, or autoimmune problems like alopecia areata. I would suggest seeing a dermatologist.
