In a previous post, I discussed Rogaine Foam when it just came to market. There appears to be good information now that the foam delivery system for Rogaine seems to increase the effectiveness of the medication by a factor greater than two. With greater effectiveness as measured by increasing blood levels, one could and should assume that the delivery into the skin is more effective than the traditional oil or alcohol base of the ‘old’ standard product. Greater skin delivery will almost certainly bring better benefits. Time, of course, will tell us what it all means, but for the moment, I would recommend using this product and sticking with it for a full 8 months before drawing conclusions one way or the other.
This may not seem related but I was diagnosed with Low T levels about 18 months ago. 50 at the time I had a small bald area (had it since late 30s with little progression) on the crown of my head but elsewhere my hair was ok. My T levels came back up to normal on its own but the bald area has increased in size and now areas typical to male pattern baldness have show noticable thinning in the last year. The only meds I take is a very low dose of natural thyroid since the Low T diagnosis.
I am concerned of a possible connection between lower T levels in men after using a DHT blocking agents? I would rather lose my hair than lower my T level.
I have read many posts on this site as I am as well, stressed out about my once thriving dead cells. Dr., will you please provide the top ten best ways to combat hairloss. I am especially interested in dietary means and methods used around the globe. Thank You!
