Hi Dr,
I have a mature hairline (since 15) , and my dad and his dad both have the same hairline. No one on my mom’s side has/had a mature hairline. Is this an indication that I will take after my father?(he still has lots of hair)
Sounds like it. Is there balding in the family on either side? That could impact what will happen to you if there is.

Do I have a good chance of keeping my hair? On my moms side my mom uncle and aunt all have a full set of hair and my moms dad had a full set of hair. On my dads side his dad had a full set of hair but one of his granpas was bald. my dads brother has a full set of hair but my dad has had some noticeable thinning since he was about 46. Hes fifty now and still has a lot of hair, just thin on the top. Also his other brother has slight thinning. I am just wondering if my chances are good. Im 18 and have pretty thick hair but Ive noticed my temples have recently receded a little bit(1/2-2/3 inches) so I think Im just developing a mature hairline.
