Hi Doc,Great site by the way and i use that word sparingly. your honest and the site covers every possible topic, unlike many others ive searched. I am 26 healthy, dark haired male, looking for reassurance after 2000+ choi transplant 1 month ago. I have cookie sized scalp baldness and high M front hairloss. After the transplant, no shock loss in frontal hairline but ive had big visible receding of my Forelocks, side temples area since. Is this due to my genetic hairloss going rapidly, or shock loss through transplant and can it be recovered? Secondly, I am now only starting Fincar 2.5mg of generic finasteride on mon, wed, fri schedule, recommended by surgeon who is on ISHRS board. Am i on positive route/complications with this? Is there possibilities of skin sagging/becoming softer on finasteride/proscar/propecia? Cheers!
You should have been on finasteride prior to the surgery. Shock loss following a hair transplant is very common in 26 year olds. The hair loss you had may be permanent, but only time will tell. I have never seen ’skin sagging’ or changes in the character of the skin with any of these drugs.
