Dear Dr Rassman,I’ve been on propecia for almost two years now and i think it’s been working really great. From your own experience, how bad the hairloss can occur if i stop the medication for two weeks? The reason being that i’ve been having hot flashes lately and my gp wanted to test and see if it’s the propecia that is causing all these symptoms. I’m a 27yo male. thanks
I suspect that a 2 week period will have a minimum impact, but as you are reporting great results from it, I really do not know. You must do what you must do, but just restart it as quickly as you can.

Balding Forum

Hello,
I am a 28 year old male, and I am seriously considering beginning use of Propecia. Just recently I have noticed that the hair on the crown of my head is much thinner than on the sides. I checked with my derm. Dr. and he diagnosed Male Pattern Baldness. You mentioned that you have had great results with Propecia, but that now you are experiencing hot flashes. Have you experienced any noticeable sexual side effects from Propecia? This is my greatest concern about beginning treatment. Thank you
