I have recently started taking methylphenidate (known as Ritalin, this version is called Equasym) and ever since then my hair has literally gone thinner - i.e. I dont appear to be loosing hair, just the hair has gone incredible thin, so much so that my scalp is notacibly more visible than usual. I have stopped taking medication this week and am worried about whether the hair will normalize again. Do you have any information on that?

A few instances of scalp hair loss are reported with using methylphenidate. If your hair loss started after taking this medication, you should see your doctor. There may be other medications that will work without impacting your hair.
