Hi Dr..
I took my first pill yesterday, but now am not so sure if i should continue. Im 18, and I dont want to become tolerant to finasteride at 22-23.But let’s ASSUME that dutasteride is approved by the FDA in the future, and I’m 23 with a tolerance to finasteride. Will switching to dutasteride restart the process, like will it act separately from the finasteride, and thus give me another 5-7 years of low DHT?
Please reply. I need to make up my mind, soon. Thank You
There is not such thing as tolerance to finasteride (Propecia). See Propecia and Hair Count for more information on that.
I don’t think taking finasteride has to do anything with your possible use of dutasteride in future.

I would like to concieve a child. But am currently on dutasteride twice per week (Monday and Thursday’s).
Will taking these pills have any detrimental affect on the baby?
