I am being prescribed finasteride 2.5/ day for BPH. would this also promote hair growth, or does it have to be 1mg/day to be affective for MPB?
Any dose of at least 1mg each day may help treat hair loss. A friend of mine who is 76 years old took Proscar for his prostate and grew a great deal of hair on the top and back of his scalp as an added bonus.
