Hello doctor. i been taking propecia for about 2 years its been working alright for hair loss however i always have had side effects from it like erectile dysfunction, headaches, stomach problems, all kinds of stuff. i don’t see any hair solution coming soon so i decided to stop taking this medication that is doing so much harm to my body. do you suggest to start rogaine or it wouldnt help since propecia is much more efficient? i’m 25 and i’m starting to give up on this battle

I really can not help you without a direct examination and interview to get to know more about your medical history and experiences. If you have headaches and stomach problems (and “all kinds of stuff”) you might have something else going on, but you’re attributing it to the finasteride. I really don’t have a clue in your case, and that is why an exam is important.

If you’ve been taking Propecia, you hopefully have a prescription and should go back to your prescribing doctor with the question you posed to me.
