Sounds interesting, but no information is given as to whether the show has been picked up by a network to actually air on television (network or cable). It might just wind up on the web. But if you read the full article, it alludes to this man being shocked at how he suddenly had a full head of hair immediately after the procedure. What it fails to mention is that those hairs will likely fall out and he won’t see any growth for months. That’s entertainment…

That guy sounds exactly like me, except when I go to a sporting event and the anthem starts, I begrudgingly take off my hat… but even then I’m scrambling my hair the entire time, adjusting it hoping for it not to appear as really bald or balding.
Err, it was a glue on wig - not a hair transplant. Terrible, terrible, terrible show - I feel sick after watching it.

Indeed. But if you think about it, it is very unlikely that giving someone a “surprise” hair transplant would ever work on a reality program. Firstly because the program is going for an instant result ( “Pimp my head” if you will ), just like some bad make over show. A hair transplant would take months to show results.
And secondly, i’m sure if someone was taken into a surprise hair clinic, I would very much doubt they would want to walk straight into irreversible cosmetic surgery on their head - at least not without serious thought. The producers would also be worried about being sued if it went pear shaped I imagine also.
Just simple fun of a glued wig, which can be taken off again if he hates it with no harm done. He can see his head full of hair again, and even keep the wig thing going in the future if he wants.
But again, terrible, terrible, terrible show - pass me the vomit bag.
