i recently took 1/4 of proscar for 3 days i experienced testicle pain and side effects, how long till the side effects get reversed after quitting, and is 3 days enough to make me lose more hair after quitting?
You should see your doctor about the testicular pain. There are many causes for testicular pain (see list). Propecia can potentially cause it, but that is very rare. Three days on or off the drug is not the issue here — the fact that you have pain is troublesome and should be checked out at once.

I had testicular pain after taking 0.5mg for a week.. it happened over two days, couldnt walk.. im not up to 1.25mg proscar and no problems.. it all goes away
I too started on 0.5mg per week and I also had the same pain right after starting the medication. Was seriously uncomfortable. By the end of the week, my erections were weaker and I decided to stop the drug. Obviously frustrating that I can’t tolerate Propecia, but that’s life.
ps. pain went away in a week to ten days
The pain does not always go way (do some research). Bear in mind Propecia has not been on the market long enough for people to know if it causes any long term damage. Who knows why this pain is caused. If this drug worked, baldness would have been eliminated. It is just a placebo for fickle and vain men who have too much insecurity and money to burn. The only thing that works is a transplant, so if you got enough hair and some money, find a decent surgeon and go for it. Just find someone skilled and recommended. If it works, it would be one hassle out of the way. A little pain and then you won’t ever have to worry about hair loss again. Screw Propecia. Even if it works, drugs have side effects and if a solution could be found where a drug does not need to be taken, then go for that.
